about currahee components

Currahee.

Our name is derived from the Cherokee Indian word “currahee,” which is translated as “stand alone.” And Currahee Components certainly stands alone as a regional CNC leader in precision, consistency, and reliability.

Currahee’s founder, Ryan Kondratieff, has forged a path on these tenants—in a constant quest for quality manufacturing. He started his career as a materials prep laborer and worked his way up to the top at an innovative company. During his years there, Ryan progressed to operator, next to department lead, and then on to production manager, overseeing 30-plus employees and directing all manufacturing divisions.

Driven by his entrepreneurial “currahee” spirit, Ryan completed a 4-year apprenticeship in machine-tool technology. This extensive program led to his certifications in manual machining, CNC machining, and CNC programming. Ryan is also a Qualified Tool and Die maker.

Following the events of 9/11, Ryan joined the Army Infantry. He went on to serve several tours in Iraq and Korea. His infantry division adopted the motto “We Stand Alone…Together,” and greeted fellow soldiers with an affirmative "Currahee!"
